With the Internet increasingly becoming a large part of our daily lives, we can not avoid the unavoidable - like it or not, job hunting online is here to stay. The Technology has changed the way we do things now. Do you remember how the job search was like before the advent of the Internet? Everything had to be done manually. Newspapers had to go for job listings. Then you had to print hard copies of your resume, and send. If someone calls, that's good news. But most of the time, there is no response.

Now, the job search is very different. You can do everything online. New web sites and applications are being invented and released to help manage the job search process. Both employers and employees must learn to make full use of technology to help them achieve their goals.

Understanding both sides of the process.

The employer.

Even if you are an individual seeking, without doubt will help if you can understand more about what is happening on the side of the employer. This is what usually happens when an employer wants to find new employees online.

The employer goes to a number of websites for job search, and pay a small fee to post job ads. The entry contains a description of jobs, and all relevant information about the working position. Contact information and job application data are also listed. Then employers manage job applications of the respective work sites.

The employee.

Now think about this. As an employee, how do you get to know about employment opportunities? Do you conduct a search for keywords based on the right position? When you do a keyword search on one site work, all jobs with the relevant keywords are presented to you. You can then proceed to read the job descriptions, and decide whether to apply for work or not.

There are several ways you can submit your job application. Some employers will only accept resumes in Word format. Some may require the e-mail resume to a specific email address, while others may only require you to send your resume digital (assuming you've already saved your resume on the website). Then, the employer will select the candidate of work, and contact them to arrange face to face or telephone interviews.

This is the most common process. Sometimes the process can be reversed. That means that instead of the employee seeking opportunities appropriate work, now companies are trying to find suitable job candidates. How? Users can search the resume. Again, the searches are based on keywords.

For now, must be aware of the importance of keywords in a resume. Use all the relevant keywords you can think in your resume before going to a worksite. Which will significantly improve your chances of being exposed to the right employers.
