Posting a online resume, how much info can I get away with?
Question by honeybaby729: Posting a online resume, how much info can I get away with?
I want to post my resume online with Monster and probably Careerbuilder as well. My current employer is unaware of my intentions to leave. With that said, I’d like to keep it that way. When I submit my resume can I leave out my name, address, current & prior employers as well? I’d like to keep it general only stating my job titles, industries worked in, job descriptions, etc. This way if someone I work with sees it they’ll overlook it as being me. Also my industry is very specialized and there are not a lot of companies like us around, everyone knows everyone else and I also don’t want another company seeing my resume and mentioning to it someone I work with.
thanks for any help.
RVD, good point, I didn’t think about the phone number.

Yes you can leave out your name, address and current and prior employers.
But I have used Monster and when I put my Cv on there, I got a lot of calls on my mobile so you may want to think aboiut what number you leave on your CV.
