I sent the original cover letter and resume a little over a week ago, yet haven’t gotten any response. I wanna make sure what I sent wasn’t overlooked or forgotten in a huge pile, but I dunno know if sending a second one would seem desperate or come across as annoying and pushy. What is the protocol and proper etiquette in this scenario?

With an overwhelming response from employers who are hiring these days, I feel mine are probably in a stack on someones desk as well. Sending another would certainly seem persistent. Sometimes that’s what it takes, sometimes, they say don’t call us we’ll call you. Timing is everything. I feel if I could just get my resume into the right hands at the right time, it would help. I’m not sure this is happening at all, and I’m not sure WHAT to do about it either.
